Artificial Intelligence - Does future look bright?
Artificial Intelligence
The big question of the hour... Is human intelligence surpass-able? Is human creativity copy-able? How and what our future actually look like? Will Artificial Intelligence capture each and everything o this world. And when it will be fully deployed in every aspects of human life... what will happen to us? Will machine start controlling us? Will it make us dependent and kill intelligence? Will human mind loose the creativity? Though the question list is long hardly, we know the answer of these rhetoric s?
Answer these questions may be difficult and premature at this moment. One thing is for sure, as human mind has survived Industrial evolution- which actually reduced human efforts for a job, Artificial Intelligence evolution will be a difficult and challenging. Let's try to find the answer. Difficult - It is because unlike Industrial revolution, Artificial Intelligence revolution questions the basic capability of human. Human is most intelligent and creative than any other animals in this world and perhaps, this is one of the bedrock for human being the superior. Challenging- It is because like Industrial evolution actually made our work smart and quick, Artificial Intelligence evolution will replace human with robots. How successful will we be in replicating human capability to generate creative ideas and out-of-box thinking is the question, one one has the actual answer.
Think about assistants in every field. The job these assistants do can be easily replicated. The question will be, Will robots or AI be able to match human mind capabilities? Human mind does millions of calculation using millions of inputs, taking many factors at stake. Will machine AI be able to match the same? Though we have already seeing smart machine or intelligent machine today, but it only assists in sending related information. How to utilize it varies from person to person. With the given input, various human mind based on various capabilities derive different results. Will future robots match the so called best brains and produce creative ideas like so called super brains in the world? A human decision and outputs depends on both Intelligence Quotient and Emotional Quotient. Thus a super robot needs to have both IQ and EQ equally working like that of human mind.
Another question is - Will mediocrity vanish? Will all human brain have equal capabilities in future or it may result in a war. A war of intelligence between human and machine.
The biggest factor which promises a better world is that a machine needs inputs, a lots of input to analyze and produce any outputs which will be plenty as whatever we do today is all online. We are feeding all information that a future robot needs to learn and work accordingly. But not all human minds are the same. At the same time making machine only learning the data a super-mind has created, shared and stored is quite a difficult task. Though, we don't have answer to this. The bright spot is various Data mining and Big Data tools availability. The efforts and being made to find the useful data out of the billions of data is a wonderful thing.
Thus, the kind of progress being made in science and technology may result in better future.
*P.S. - It is human mind which will create a robot based on AI. As they say a creator always have upper hand, we think the same in this context. AI will never be bigger than human capabilities and in a war between human and machine intelligence, I am sure God made cells may mutate to produce someone with even more capabilities.
